Thank you for laying out your logic so clearly, Bob Hayes. It's a timely discussion. May I offer that the weak point in developing workplace security programs is a failure to communicate & coordinate the effort with and through other organizational leaders. The C-suite and other senior leaders need to see us as valuable resources, they know we are needed. Security Directors bring incredible expertise and experiences that often are lost in not transitioning to the business culture in communicating that
workplaces are vulnerable havens of opportunity and risks. I respectfully believe that there needs to be an alignment between workplace policies, people & security plans in the process. Know the requirements but understand the expectations. We need to be seen as Ambassadors of Security.
